Ten Small Steps, One Giant Leap

Updated: Mar 23, 2021

I have found the biggest obstacle to entrepreneurs success to be purely mental. And by mental I am referring to the understandable and familiar emotion of fear; fear of failure, being overwhelmed and under-qualified to tackle and successfully accomplish a laundry list of complex tasks required to get you from here to there, from inception of an idea, to its realization as a business.

This fear is mostly based on misunderstanding. First off, you don't have to know everything on day one, but rather you accomplish bits and pieces every day to complete over time an ever increasingly complex picture of your enterprise. Second, you won't do it alone, nor do you need to have all the task skills in your personal arsenal.

There are three key components I like to recommend to overcome this obstacle; Organization, team and timeline. I have put together an overview of a general task organization that I find applicable to most enterprise endeavors and structures.

The next thing to happen is you work on it, first alone, then with a growing team, one piece at a time, one day at a time, because the best way to move a mountain is one shovel at a time.
